Transvaginal Mesh Complications

We have been contacted by many women who have had terrible, terrible problems with the mesh implanted in them during transvaginal mesh surgery.  For those of you who may not know, the FDA issued a strongly worded report and warnings on July 13, 2011 because they had received a large number of complaints of injury from victims of transvaginal mesh and bladder slings.  I have been aware of the growing number of problems with these products, but we have now talked to so many women with horrific injuries that I plan to add a page to the website next week about these cases.

The FDA indicated in their report that complications related to transvaginal mesh surgery are not rare, that there is no evidence that the surgery is more effective than traditional non-mesh repair, and that the surgery exposes patients to greater risk than the non-mesh repair.  I am aware of hundreds of lawsuits that have been filed regarding this problem.  The lawyers handling these cases are finding that these products fail at rates much higher than the manufacturer ever tells the public, and the injuries are devastating.

Please contact us if you have a problem with this product.  We will help you map out a legal strategy to pursue your case.
