Signs of Nursing Home Abuse
Family members with loved ones in nursing homes should be aware of the wide variety of signs of abuse in the unfortunate event that mistreatment becomes a reality. Nursing home neglect and abuse occurs in even the most respected, well-funded facilities in this country.
At the Taylor Law Firm, LLC, our Alabama nursing home abuse lawyers represent clients who have suffered all types of abuse, including physical, sexual, emotional, and financial. Remember that the abusers have usually been carrying on their behavior for most of their lives, and they are often really good at hiding the truth. They may choose to inflict physical pain on bodily areas that are covered by clothing. They may also threaten residents with tactics of fear or intimidation in attempt to keep the victim quiet. Since nursing home injuries are usually progressive, it is often just a matter of time before the victims come forward or a family member starts to ask the right questions.
